LYDS' WEEK IN REVIEW
Mon :: Received the long-awaited call from him. It was nice. Fella got thru his second interview. Good for him. Hope all goes well. We talked for a bit. This soul was satisfied and happy. Sweet. Anyhow, later that evening, went to Hair Inn to rebond my hair. No offence to my naturally beautiful curls. But I opted for a change and manageability. The entire process took about 4 hours. But the end product was excellent. Satisfaction. Thank you mom for your little gift.
Tues :: GRADUATION DAY. Went off to school with my new suit, new shoes and new hairdo. Met up with familiar faces. Was nice to see everyone congregated together one last time before we go our separate ways. The ceremony had its perks though on the whole it was rather solemn. A feeling of pride and accomplishment washed over me. As I sat at the graduands' stand, listening to speeches that offered best wishes to us, I was transported back to my first day in TP. Then, everything seemed so bleak and tough. But I made it through. New hope that I will strife these current hard times was born. I smiled to myself. During the tea reception, I took pictures with a whole load of people. Guess I was just trying to capture sweet memories with friends on a roll of film. I am going to miss this place, TP. It is my alma matter after all. Later that night, I took my final theory test. Hope my confidence and prayers will be answered this time round. Please.
Wed :: Met up with the babes minus one (namely, mardi) today. Was suppose to catch a movie (the signs). Due to the complications of financial factors, I couldnt. Nevertheless, we sat at LJS and talked for quite a bit. We shared laughters, jokes, sarcasm and insults. But it was all in the name of fun. Later that night, me and kakak liz met up with wan and aza for supper. The point was to flaunt my straightened hair to them. Instead, those two, sat there and insulted the limpness of my hair. Sigh. oh well, say whatever u wanna say guys. I'm happy with it and thats all that matters ;)
Thurs :: The weather is good these days. Its sunny with chilling cool breeze. Nice. Did a lot of reading today. "Dangerous Attachments" by Sarah Lovett. Went grocery shopping for mama and stuffed myself with a whole load of poppiahs. Made chocolate chips too. Cheated a bit by using the ready made cookie mix from Betty Crockers'. It was deliciously enticing. Yums.
Fri :: Woke up today and prepared the documents for application with Malaysia Airlines. Went over to Rini's workplc coz the printer is faulty. She helped us photocopy stuffs and print some of them. She's amazing. Later, we went back to her place. She fed us with delicious lauk lemak. Was a simple meal but damn satisfying. I was hungry afterall. Anyhow, we watched "Bad Company" and played with little Darnish. Bad company was good. I love Chris Rock. He's brilliant. We headed home after and I did more reading.
Sat :: Mama and the kids went out somewhere today. Shopping I guess. Was stuck at home with Kakak Liz. We scout around for more jobs. Saturday's Recruitment paper is more fun to look at than other days. More jobs. I think. Anyhow, we watched a Malay drama for a bit. Later, we feasted our eyes on Dirty Dancing. That was nice. A tingly feeling came over me. That nostalgic dance and music. Ooh lovely. I still dont think Patrick Swayze's character and Jennifer Gray's character suits each other. But thats just my opinion. Dino and kakak Liz asked me out later that night. We went for supper at Mas Ayu and later we went to Seletar (aka Yishun Dam) to see vans blasting off their sound system. Interesting. I dont get the logic behind it but the system is excellent. Later, we just drove around to different sights. Reached home ard 3 am. Was freakin tired and sleepy but had to stay up and design Cik Pa's card. Slept only at 6am.
Sun :: Woken up by mama's screams. Theres a little family function we had to attend today. Cik Pa was treating everyone to lunch at Royal Plaza on Scotts(Holdiday Inn). Everyones gonna be there. Except for Ayah. He's gotta work. Poor him. Lunch was good. Nice spread of food. The dessert was the best I have to say. Met up with cousins and their antics. Cik Lela pissed me off but I'd rather not talk about it. Breathe in and out. Ok chill. After lunch, I went back home and slept. I was neglecting sleep and that is bad. In the middle of my sleep, he called. -smiles- Nice conversation. We talked for quite sometime. As always I put down the receiver with a big smile and a great feeling. Ok stay close to the ground now lyds. Stop floating. No expectations just enjoy the moment. :). Watched "When Harry met Sally" on tv. Enjoyed it. So sweet la. Later, kakak liz and I went to 7eleven. On our way back, we heard someone shouting. It was Haney and Mokhtar under the block. Apparently they were fighting and there's some drama. Wow. Being the makcik k-pos we are, we hid and watched from a distance. After the drama subsided, we went back home. Hehehe. Weird.
